NPC Men’s Group By Tim Rado |

The NPC Men’s group is up and running strong. We held our 2nd quarter Texas Hold Em championship on Friday, May 19th at the home of Bill Brown and once again had a fantastic evening of fun and fellowship. George “Player” Tatro relinquished the championship belt to Chip Plyler who will hold the title at least until our next championship in August. 2nd place once again went to Matt Fry and 3rd place this quarter went to Bobby Akines. If you have not been able to join us as of yet, you are missing a great evening of fun so try and join us on August 11th at the home of German Correa, or on November 10th at the home of Glen Helmstetter . We have also decided to attend a Braves game this summer. We were looking into a game in June but could not get seating together so it looks as though we will put that off until September. I will have more info in the next newsletter. We also have planned a golf outing for July 22nd. If you would be interested in this or would just like to help us search for our lost shots in the lake, woods, etc. please call Tim Rado at 678-414-3378 so he can add you to the list. Finally, we have one small group up and running which is meeting a couple of times per month on Tuesday morning if you are interested in participating. I will eventually get a small group up and running either on a Wednesday or Thursday evening and George Tatro is looking to form an afternoon group. Although we have a great time at our monthly get togethers, I believe the strength of the NPC Men’s group will lie in the successful formation of our small accountability groups. Just remember, every man of the church is welcome to join us in any way that he feels called, whether that be in a small group, monthly get together, or just helping out in a service project, so if you have not been able to participate, please call me for any info that you would like and we look forward to seeing a few new faces in the coming months!
