Dear NPC Family, Thank you so much for supporting our families during the past month while we dealt with the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. As you may know, a childhood friend of Norma’s (from New Orleans) evacuated to Duluth to stay for a few days until the danger of the hurricane passed. Peggy, Larry, and their two sons, Chad and Cliff, arrived safely ahead of the storm. As the devastation in Louisiana started to dawn, we reached out to our church community for help and you delivered in more ways than we could have imagined. We thank you for your generosity in all areas: money anonymously given, grocery and retail gift cards, food, clothes, hot meals delivered for over a week, and many other necessary items. At that time, it was a personal tragedy, not yet recognized on the national level that it is now. You knew what we needed more than we did, and for that we are very grateful for the outpouring of help. Your immediate response was a true witness of God’s love and it shone bright through those first dark days. We are still “recovering” and everyday brings its new challenges. Thank you for your kindness, prayers and devotion to living as Christ teaches us to do. In His Name, The Adams Family and The Badeaux Family |
