School is out.  The call of the open road beckons.  The beach summons.  Or perhaps it’s the lake.  Maybe it’s a trip to see family.  There are many things that we have planned for the summer.  And the church is no exception.

VBS is less than a month away.  In fact, it is less than 2 weeks away.  The volunteers are

numerous and are getting prepared to have a blast with the kids this year.  As always, it promises to be a highlight of the year, so I hope that you will join in as a teacher, or a shepherd, or as a participant.  Whatever you do, join in.

At the end of June, several of us will attend Montreat’s Music and Worship conference.  This is a young and great tradition at Norcross and the Fry’s are excitedly anticipating our second trip to M & W at Montreat.  George will be joining us for about half of the week.  Jeremy will be joining us for the other half of the week.  Much about music and worship will be experienced and learned.  Many card games will be played.

In July, 12 of us will be going to Kentucky for a week-long mission trip.  This trip has been two years in the making.  I want you to pray for us.  This will be a great experience in the lives of those who participate, and in the life of this church.  Please keep David Bartlett, Jonathan Bartlett, Kelly Bartlett, Pam Bartlett, Stephanie Currier, Matt Fry, Bob Norman, Bob Peterson, Heather Peterson, B.J. Steele, Katie Steele, and Melissa Steele in your prayers from now until we come home, on the 16^th of July.  Pray that God would prepare us for what lies ahead, that the lives we touch will be impacted in a positive manner, and that we, too, will be impacted in a positive manner.

Before you know it, school will be back in session; we will be back in the park for a Sunday morning Worship service (on 11 September); Wednesday night dinners will resume, and we will be back in our normal rhythm.  Until then, enjoy all the fun and exciting things we’ve got planned when the road hasn’t taken you away.
