Our session is our governing body. People are elected by the
congregation to serve. We as Presbyterians believe that our government
should be a representative system. Our session has 14 members, 4
people are elected each year for a 3 year term, a one year term for a youth
elder, and the pastor. We currently have 7 committees:
Christian Education and Development: coordinates our efforts in
Christian Nurture for all ages, including our Preschool, our children’s
programs, Youth group and programs, and Adult educational experiences.
Facility Management Committee: provides for the upkeep, maintenance,
and care for our buildings and property.
Life and Nurture Committee: charged with helping us all take care of
those of us who are part of this particular body, by providing for fellowship
opportunities, keeping us all informed through communications, and with
general congregational care.
Staff & Policy Committee: contributes to our policies and performance
reviews, enabling our staff to heed the call to which God has called them.
Stewardship Committee: manages our budget and our giving
opportunities.
Witness and Evangelism Committee: by providing outreach and mission
opportunities is charged with helping us all take care of those in our
community and in our world who are not part of this particular body, .
Worship Committee: coordinates, along with the pastor and music
director, our worship experiences, both on Sunday mornings and for special
events.

Rev. Matthew M. Fry, Pastor
It is a little known trivia fact that when our national form of government was being founded, the founders relied heavily on the Church of Scotland and its form of government as an outline. Our church government is a direct descen- dent of the Church of Scotland as well, so our polity (church government) bears a resemblance to our national government.

The Session is organized so that there is more than one elder for almost every committee. We have set aside specific times during which all committees meet, and open communication between committees is encouraged and enabled. If you wish to join a committee please see one of the elders on that committee, or the Pastor.
