Presbyterians
The Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.)
has approximately 2.5 million members, 11,200
congregations and 21,000 ordained ministers.
Presbyterians trace their history to the 16th century
and the Protestant Reformation.
Our heritage, and much of what we believe, began
with the French lawyer John Calvin (1509-1564),
whose writings crystallized much of the Reformed
thinking that came before him.
The Presbytery of Greater Atlanta (PGA)
consists of 110 congregations and 48,516 members
spanning 20 counties including rural, urban, and
suburban areas of Georgia.
The Presbytery invites anyone who is interested in
finding out more information about us, our churches, or
our upcoming events to explore its website.  The
Presbytery of Greater Atlanta and other southeastern
presbyteries belong to the Synod of South Atlantic.
