Mother’s Day Offering To Benefit

Presbyterian Homes

Just as our mothers have reached out to steady and guide us, we have the opportunity to honor them this Mother’s Day by giving to Presbyterian Homes of Georgia’s Caring Hands Fund.

Caring Hands is the heart of the ministry of Presbyterian Homes of Georgia. Caring Hands provides health services to senior adult residents whose personal financial resources have been depleted. Your gifts to the Mother’s Day Offering support Caring Hands by providing residents with food scholarships, medical and equipment supplies, and other special care needs.

As a Christian ministry, Presbyterian Homes provides a life-long home to more than 1,000 residents at four Georgia retirement communities. In the 56 years of this Presbyterian ministry, no resident has ever been asked to leave due to a lack of funds.

More than 200 Presbyterian congregations throughout Georgia contribute to the Mother’s Day Offering in support of Caring Hands, allowing 367 residents to have been helped in 2005. This year, Presbyterian Homes anticipates the charitable care need to be $2.75 million.

Your gifts are needed to ensure a tradition of providing exceptional care to senior adults.  On Mother’s Day, May 14, please remember your mother with a tribute gift to the Mother’s Day Offering.

Rainbow Village

“House Pins”

As a support for their programs assisting families in need of affordable housing in the Norcross and Duluth area, Rainbow Village has a new series of House Pins for sale.  A selection of pins will be on display in the narthex and for sale at $15 each.   Is there someone you want to remember with a gift on Mother’s Day or their birthday?  These will be very appropriate and support Rainbow Village at the same time.  If you would like to make a selection at a time other than on Sunday morning, please contact Carol MacGregor at 770-840-9250.
