NPC Men’s Group

On April 22nd, the Men’s Group hosted a work day at the church.  We were able to complete several projects including planting all the flowers that were generously donated for the Easter cross.  I would like to thank the following people for giving up their Saturday morning to help make NPC a better place for all:  Matt and Melissa Fry, Bill Brown, Jason and Mitch Bernardo and Mitch’s friend (Jake), Chip Plyler, Bob Norman, Larry Fluehr, German Correa and Tim Rado.

We will be having our 2nd quarter Texas Hold-Em championship on Friday, May 19th at the home of Bill Brown.  All men of the church are invited for dinner and an evening of fun and fellowship.  Ask anyone who was at the 1st quarter championship how much fun they had and then plan to attend for a chance to add your name to the championship plaque that will soon hang in the narthex and proudly wear the championship belt until you defend it the following quarter.  If you have not already done so, please let Tim Rado know if you will be attending ASAP so he will have an accurate count to plan for dinner.

We have also formed two men’s small groups for bible study, service, and accountability.  One group will meet every other Tuesday morning at 7:00am beginning May 2nd, and the other group will meet every other Thursday evening at 7:30pm beginning May 4th.  If you are interested in joining the morning group, please contact Matt Fry, or if you are interested in joining the evening group, please contact Tim Rado.  These groups will most likely evolve as they take on a life of their own, so if these times do not fit your schedule let Matt or Tim know and we will try to accommodate you.

Finally, I would like to thank the men of the church for their support and participation in getting the NPC men’s group up and running.  In a very short period, the group has gone from an idea to a functioning group with more than 20 men participating in one way or another.  With your help and support, the NPC men’s group will continue to grow and thrive and be a valuable part of the NPC ministry!  Keep up the great work!

In His service,

Tim Rado
