             Some of you prefer to include the church as an automatic draft from your account.  “It really helps me be more regular and faithful in my giving, and I want that,” you report.

If you’d like to give automatically, here’s how:

            

7. Follow directions above to add NPC as a payee.

8. Click on Automatic Payments and set up a recurring payment to NPC.

      You will need to select the amount and frequency of the payments.

 

       Final step:  Record your giving by filling out a card at worship each Sunday and put the card in the offering plate.  (Cards will be printed and kept near the bulletins, and in some seat backs.)  The amount that you give is a personal, private matter.  But your act of giving itself is done in public and, frankly, influences others.  Not only do you benefit from the physical act of giving, but also others notice and are encouraged.  As I said in church recently on Sunday, “What if we all gave electronically, and a visitor in worship noticed that the offering plate was empty at the end of the offering. The visitor would conclude, ‘This is a great church, but nobody contributes!’”

       Remember also, scripture says “The Lord loves a cheerful giver.”  It doesn’t say “an electronic, on-line giver.”  So you make your offering any way you want that helps you feel right about it.  God — and NPC — only wants the money that you are glad to give in the way that works for you.
