Registration for Summer Camp began March 14th! It’s still not too late to register! You can either stop by and fill out the registration form or do it on-line (and mail in your registration payment - $25). The website is www.norcross presbyterian.org (link: childcare). The dates of summer camp are weeks of: June 6-9 Silly Science June 20-23 A Day at the Circus July 5-8 Water, Water Everywhere! OFFERING TO BENEFIT PRESBYTERIAN HOMES Growing older can be frightening with each year bringing change...to our bodies...to our minds...to our families and friends...to our finances...to society. For more than 55 years, Presbyterian Homes of Georgia has cared for and served senior adults in four retirement communities in Georgia. As a Christian ministry, the Homes care for over 1,000 residents in all their varied circumstances—providing for them a life-long home. The Caring Hands Fund is the heart of the ministry of Presbyterian Homes of Georgia. It exists to provide services to Health Services Center residents whose personal financial resources have been depleted. It helps pay for in-home services for apartment residents to maximize their independence and subsidizes the cost of special medical devices for residents who cannot afford them. More than 200 Presbyterian congregations throughout the state of Georgia contribute to the Caring Hands Fund. Last year, 367 residents benefited from the help it provided. This year, Presbyterian Homes of Georgia will provide $2.75 million in charitable care. In the fifty years of this Presbyterian ministry, no resident has ever been asked to leave because they have outlived their financial resources. Our gifts are needed to help to ensure this ministry. On Mother’s Day, May 8th, please remember your mother with a tribute gift to the Mother’s Day Offering to help mothers and others who are residents at Presbyterian Homes of Georgia. |
