   IT’S A SMALL WORLD

FEBRUARY VALENTINE’S  FELLOWSHIP DINNER

On Sunday evening February 13, the whole congregation is invited to gather at

6 p.m. for dinner with a twist.

We will be celebrating the love theme of Valentine’s Day by showing our concern and love for the people affected by the Indian Ocean tsunamis that occurred in late December.

Rice will be provided as it is the staple food of many Asian nations.  All who come are asked to contribute to the dinner some food that “goes with” or is

usually served “over” rice.  What variety of dishes can we expect church members and friends to bring to the table that night?  It will be interesting to see!

While there is no cost to attend other than your pot-luck contribution, the committees in charge of the evening are asking that we also bring a donation to drop into a “cooking pot,” the proceeds of which will be sent to Habitat for Humanity International,  which is already beginning to help the tsunami victims rebuild their homes.

Our evening will include a sing-along of tunes about love and the world led by Jeremy. More information will be provided at the next two Sunday services.
