FOOD DRIVE

By Sandra Murray

Text Box: The Annual Fall BBQ/Bazaar will be on Saturday, October 23rd (all hands on deck!). Please note that the patch closes on October 31st, which is a Sunday this year. If you are not going to the Montreat Fall Family Retreat, please sign up to work the patch that last, and busiest weekend.
In closing the Patch, we will need help getting rid of the leftover pumpkins and storing away the pallets. Some of that work will be done on Wednesday, November 3rd, but we would like to restore the church grounds to normal by the next Sunday, November 7th. After October 31st, please feel free to take pumpkins home to cook or for decorations, or to donate to any person or organization that could make good use of them. People available to work in tearing down the patch on both Wednesday and Sunday will earn double hours for each hour worked.

Contacts:

Set up: Bill Brown, Mark Karasek
Preschool visitors: Amanda Helmstetter, Matt Fry, Laura Lankford, Jason Bernardo
Shift Coordinator: Deb Bain
General Questions: Norma Badeaux, Larry Fleuhr, Sandra Murray

Hours of Operation: OCTOBER 11 – OCTOBER 31, 2004
Sundays: 1:00 – 8:00
Saturdays: 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Mon-Fri: 9:00 – 1:00 and 4:00 – 8:00
**NOTE: If enough people can work the 1-4 shifts during the last week of October, the patch will remain open all day. See sign up sheets. One extra person to help man the patch is needed during the preschool shift (M-F 9-1), so if you are free during those hours, please consider helping. There is a separate sign up sheet for that shift.

September is NPC’s food drive month for the Norcross Co-Op. Please bring non-perishable food items to the church on Sunday mornings during the month of September. Volunteers from NPC will take the donations to the CO-Op during Wednesday night Community Service outings. Adults and youth are welcome to visit the Norcross Co-op for facility tours, client interaction and community opportunities. A list of the most needed food and personal care items are printed on Page Two of the Norcross Co-Op newsletter. Please take one of the Co-Op newsletters off of the Mission bulletin board. Thank you for your support of local mission activities. We appreciate it.
