The long-awaited updated directory has been published!  Thanks to all who sent in their updated information and/or checked the draft copy that was in the narthex.  We hope you will continue to send in any changes on an ongoing basis to the office.  We will then email the congregation  so they may manually update their directory.  Special thanks to Melanie Linder for binding the directories for us.

Con-grad-uations

 

Congratulations to our recent grads.  During the worship service on Sunday, 22 May, we recognized our graduates from the class of 2005.

 

Kelly Bartlett graduated with honors from Norcross High and will be entering the Savannah College of Arts and Design in September where she plans to major in commercial interior design. She is also a candidate for the International Baccalaureate degree and is awaiting the results of the IB test.

 

Jessica Lankford graduated from Duluth High and will be entering Georgia College and State University where her current plans are to study linguistics.  She is also interested in their theatre program.

 

Katie Steele graduated from Northview High and will be entering Emory University.  She plans to study both literature and business before deciding on a major.

 

David Lankford graduated from the University of Texas with a degree in English.  He is currently working at The Rock in Colorado which is sponsored by Presbyterians for Renewal. He worked there during previous summers while in college.  He plans to move to Austin, Texas and find a job there upon completion of his summer position.

 

We are proud of you all.  We offer you our most heartfelt congratulations.

 

Confirmands Join the Church in the Rain

 

 

It was a great pleasure to have our four confirmands join the church in our service outdoors at Jones Bridge Park on 15 May, Pentecost.  Congratulations to Katie Badeaux, Martha Correa, Becca Rado and Julia Villalobos who studied for four months; learned “Belonging to God: A First Catechism,” and answered questions in front of the session on Sunday 8 May.  As their teacher, I learned much from them.  They are truly a joy and will be great assets to our church.  Welcome!   Pastor Matt
